Sean Nelson (MM ’10; DMA student) has won an audition with the United States Coast Guard Band based in New London, Connecticut. After auditioning in a competitive field of sixteen players, Sean was chosen as the winner. And he did this with an instrument that had been badly damaged by the airline! Currently a teaching fellow in both the UNT trombone studio and the UNT jazz studies area, Sean is also a member of the One O’Clock Lab Band.
